What Is In The Water We Drink?

Now that is disturbing....This is  a small sampling of the crispy brown crud that is left behind after a gallon of Nashville city water has run through my water distiller.  It feels like brittle dried paint.  I am curious if it was analyzed what the chemical content would be?
